Rachel Reed, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who completed her Master’s Degree at the Smith College School for Social Work. The health and wellness of children and families has been a longstanding and personal pursuit of Rachel’s, beginning about 10 years ago with her work at Maternity Care Coalition and as a volunteer doula in the community. Rachel believes in the transformative power of childbirth and 0-3 education. Rachel has experience in inpatient settings with mothers managing substance abuse, trauma, depression, mood disorders, and parenting challenges. Over the last 5 years Rachel has worked with children, adults and families in outpatient settings in Philadelphia, building and sustaining safe and trusting therapeutic relationships. Rachel has deep investment in furthering her post-graduate training in the areas of trauma, play therapy, and psychodynamic theory. Rachel also strives to bring an anti-racism lens to her clinical work. In her role as Pediatric Behavioral Health Consultant at the Health Annex, Rachel sincerely enjoys providing integrative care for the resilient children and families who seek that support.
