Mia graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Saint Mary’s College and with her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Mia serves as a Behavioral Health Consultant at the Health Annex and Annex West. She was a medical case manager working with pregnant women diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. She has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings addressing mental health and substance use. Her experience includes working with adults who are managing depression and other mood concerns, anxiety, substance use, trauma, chronic illnesses, and life transitions. She believes in the importance of building a strong, trusting, and collaborative therapeutic relationship in an empathetic, nonjudgmental, and safe space. Mia has special focus and interest in trauma and how this impacts individuals throughout their life. She is also passionate about women’s health and those impacted by HIV/AIDS.
