Mary Carol Campbell, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health, was drawn to FPCN because the mission and vision align with social work core values. She started her career as a mental health clinician in 2002, working at a federally qualified health center in Boston and a community mental health center in Philadelphia, before joining the FPCN Outpatient Behavioral Health team as a psychotherapist in 2008. In 2012, Mary Carol became the Associate Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health, and in July 2020 she assumed the Director role. She specializes in working with adults who’ve experienced complex trauma and losses; her approach centers on the healing power of relationships, is holistic, strengths-based, and practical. Mary Carol is dedicated to ensuring the quality, growth, and sustainability of behavioral health services at FPCN. She values working alongside the individuals and communities FPCN serves and colleagues at FPCN with diverse areas of expertise. Mary Carol holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons College School of Social Work, with a clinical concentration and a Certificate in Urban Leadership. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
