Collette Hain is a Family Nurse Practitioner and the Primary Care Site Director at the Stephen and Sandra Sheller 11th Street Family Health Services. Collette was inspired to become a nurse after working on quality health care issues at a national patient advocacy organization in Washington, DC. She completed her Master of Public Policy degree, with a concentration in health policy, from American University, but was restless with the slow pace of policy change and wanted to help individuals achieve health and wellbeing more immediately. She enrolled in nursing school and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program and later from its Family Nurse Practitioner Program. She enjoys seeing patients from across the lifespan and thrives on the variety of experiences and health conditions seen in family practice. Collette unwinds by traveling and spending time in nature with her family – camping, hiking, fishing, paddling, biking, and skiing.
